Scoring & progression

Survival time is your record

Your personal best measures how long you survive, in seconds. Flux captures and combos give you things to chase during a run, but the saved record is time. Every 15 seconds brings a new level and faster enemies, so a safe route that worked at the start may stop working later.

Understand the challenge

What to watch in Orbit Runner

Three rings, two escape routes

Jump between rings to change your lane, or reverse to change which enemies you are approaching. From the inner ring, a move toward the core warps you to a random safe position. The warp is an escape option rather than a way to choose your exact destination.

Flux and phase shields

Cyan diamonds disappear if you wait too long. Every fourth capture arms a shield that absorbs one hit. A shield gives you room to recover, but does not make a crowded lane safe indefinitely. Watch the enemy halos for warnings that their direction is about to change.

Build a better run

Orbit Runner strategies

  1. Look at the destination ring before jumping. Leaving one enemy behind is not useful if you land beside another.
  2. Use a reversal when the lane behind you has more space. Reversing repeatedly without checking your surroundings can trap you between enemies.
  3. Treat flux as an optional detour. Protecting a long survival run is usually worth more than reaching one fading diamond.

Common questions

Before your next attempt

Why do the arrow keys feel different from W and S?

W and S always mean inward and outward. The arrow controls interpret movement relative to the orb's position on screen. Use W and S if you prefer fixed ring-change commands.

Can I choose where the core warp sends me?

No. It finds a random safe position. Reassess the nearby enemies immediately after the warp before making your next move.

Where is my personal best saved?

Your best is stored in this browser on this device. There is no account or online leaderboard. Clearing this site's browser data removes the saved record; using another device or browser starts with its own record.
