Scoring & progression
Matches and Flow points measure different things
Every correct direction adds one match. Matches are the record saved on this device. The separate points total rewards reaction speed: a Perfect starts at three points, Quick at two, and Close at one, multiplied by your current Flow multiplier. A high points total does not replace the match record.

What to watch in Chroma Rush
Build Flow with quick decisions
A Perfect response lands in the first 24% of the flood and adds two Flow. Quick adds one; a late Close response removes two. Every three Flow raises the points multiplier by one, up to 4×. A correct late answer still keeps the run alive.
Read the next Echo
The first Echo starts after five matches and asks for two more correct responses. Later Echo triggers are seven matches apart. The layout refreshes after each answer, so read the new assignment instead of repeating the previous direction. A wrong direction or a flood reaching the top ends the run.
Build a better run
Chroma Rush strategies
- Find the active color and symbol first, then read the direction assigned to it. Do not assume a color stays in the same place.
- Use the generous opening round to learn the visual layout before trying to answer at Perfect speed.
- During an Echo, reset your attention after each hit. Two deliberate correct answers beat two rapid guesses.
Common questions
Before your next attempt
Can I keep playing after a Close rating?
Yes. Close is a correct answer with a lower reward and a Flow penalty. Only a wrong direction or running out of time ends the run.
Why is my best record lower than the points I earned?
The saved personal record counts matches. Flow points are a separate measure of the speed and consistency of that run.
Where is my personal best saved?
Your best is stored in this browser on this device. There is no account or online leaderboard. Clearing this site's browser data removes the saved record; using another device or browser starts with its own record.
