Scoring & progression
Five courses, one continuous flight record
Each course lasts 45 seconds and ends with a landing. Completing a landing advances you to the next course, with five courses in total. Your best records total seconds flown across the run, including completed courses. A crash restarts the challenge at level one; it does not resume at the most recent runway.
Understand the challenge
What to watch in Canyon Clutch
Climb with momentum in mind
Holding the control pulls the plane upward; releasing lets it descend. A sustained climb builds the stall arc. Short adjustments help you hold a useful line without sacrificing the control you will need for the next canyon opening.
The runway is part of the challenge
At final approach, move into the green landing band with a shallow descent. Merely reaching the end of the canyon is not enough. Leave yourself time to settle the plane rather than diving toward the runway at the last moment.
Build a better run
Canyon Clutch strategies
- Read the next ceiling and floor together. Climbing away from the floor can put you directly into a lower ceiling.
- Release before a correction becomes excessive. The plane carries momentum, so waiting until you reach the desired height can produce an overshoot.
- Prepare for the landing during the approach. Enter the green band under control instead of trying to fix your altitude and descent at the same instant.
Common questions
Before your next attempt
Why did I return to the first course after a crash?
The five-course challenge is a single run. Landings advance the current attempt, but they are not permanent checkpoints.
Is holding the button the same as accelerating?
The control commands a climb. Watch the stall arc and use releases to manage your flight path rather than holding continuously.
